SELK'NAM EXPO
I had the chance to visit a photo-documentary exposition on Selk'nam aboriginals, some of the original people living in Fireland, the southernmost tip of this continent, before foreigners came. Fascinating portraits, photos and documents on their culture!. But what always surprises me is seeing how different people see life similarly, in one way or another. No matter how far away in time or space they might live (or they might have lived), the essence remains. So what is foreign really? What is really not? Is there a clear division? No, everything's related. I say. However, this is nothing new, there's something called globalisation, right? Yeap. So. Today, fortunately enough Selk'nam culture survives through the last direct descendants and this kind of exhibits. The display is now over, but if interested, you might still be able to have a glimpse »here«. ¡Saludos!
