Wintertime on my everyday way to work...

DAMN YUMMY!

... it took us quite a while to figure out how to make a proper fresh pasta ourselves (the first few attemps ended up with way too thick and half-baked dough and a strong desire for a fatty Big Mac).

But as our last try was quite tasty it seems we are getting better slowly but steadily ;o)

Shiny, soft, fresh. My morning's little adventure: feeling the grass through my fingers.

IT'S SUMMER

After summer comes autumn, after winter comes spring, and I like this. I usually get tired by the end of each, and my anxiety calms down as the next one comes in. I'll try to explore this season on my comming uploads.

Maybe as a reminder of what will eventually come back to you once more, again a warm breeze and all is green, again different scents and different food, again the relaxed outfits and the sun, again the long evenings.

Maybe as a reminder to me, to enjoy (with less anxiety) this moment. Here and now.

After one year of patience and many expensive taxi-rides finally we can reach Hamburg Airport quick and convenient using an eastbound suburban train ;-)

WILD THING

Into the Wild. You've seen it I reckon?. It's a great film. Good character performances, refreshing landscapes, and thrilling helicopter shots!... no, I'm afraid it doesn't have expensive cars, supermodels, or explosions though... sorry. It's a tragic story, but real and impressive. The above scene with its afternoon light was soothing. Even though it lacked expensive cars, supermodels and explosions!. ¡Saludos!

I AM A YES MAN!

Yes!, I wanted to see that film. Yes, I hope you'd seen it. Yes, I'd recommend it if you haven't done so yet. And yes it's one of the best comedy films I've seen in a long time, there's even a positive message in it, even if it's somehow only mentioned.

Yes!, the soundtrack is interesting as a reminder of the film, due to Munchausen by Proxy, a band depicted on the film, with a nice couple of songs such as Uh-Huh. Quite '80s. Sweet voice belongs to Zooey Deschanel, actress on the film, looking a bit as Meg Ryan maybe.

YES!, YES!, Yes Man, gets you wired just like a RedBull I reckon.

THE MAGIC BOX

And along it came, on a magical day hard to forget. Wortlos, I can only thank you. But then I can say... watch out dudes!, you are gonna get what you give! ;)

First impressions: wonder, happyness, suprise. Life is ever surprising. Second impression: I though I was nuts, but now I see my friends are somewhat crazy too. Third one: the amazing and vibrating feeling of not knowing. And particularly in this case, not knowing what's inside. Fourth, handwritten wishes, memories, love. Fifth, Maaaarzipan! Genau!. Still more of theese to come... some new, such as the Elisenlebkuchen from Bavarian Nürnberg.

Do you know this strange feeling that a present you just bought gives you when it's something so fancy that you would rather love to keep it to yourself?

... if not to say rocks again – so today Emma and I spent a really good night at Fabrik concert hall in Altona. Grey-haired Everlast and his well performing band played all his most classic tracks to us before they finally even came up with »Jump Around« that old House Of Pain song probably erveryone knows! 

You can tell that was fun!!!

Summer holidays arrive soon, a neighbour gets the camping stuff ready...

Gute Idee! It may come really handy at times. In my case while at the Waschraum for instance, otherwise my clothes would had turned all into the same colour!

As you know, it is usually said Parisiens are not very kind with tourists who do not speak french, however, there are exeptions!, and I know even the toughest character could become softer. For instance, after requesting something, by adding "Très gentil, merci". Meaning "Very kind, thanks", could do the trick, and even he/she could look back at us and smile (partially of course ;) So, there's an easy, nice thing I use, and in their own language so they cannot complain.

Hope you'll have a nice stay there. Gute reise!!!!

As I told you I went to a lecture in one of the conference rooms at Stilwerk yesterday night. Aart van Bezooyen a nice dutch guy was introducing his work. He runs a small design consultancy here in Hamburg giving clients advice on e.g. the strategic use materials.

It was quite inspiring to hear him speak about what possibilities designers do have when just considering the matter »material« in an appropriate way.

... we visited a quite nice retrospective on Max Bill's work in Bremen. Nothing spectacular though, as especially the exhibited product-design-stuff was hardly more than showcasing the »Ulmer Hocker«. However we could get some pretty inspiring insides on the architectual work of this great swiss designer.
